How to add Binance Smart Chain to MetaMask and connect it to PancakeSwap

PancakeSwap is a decentralised exchange (DEX) based on Binance Smart Chain (BSC). If you try to connect your MetaMask wallet to PancakeSwap with default settings it will show you an error. This is due to the conflict in the network as PancakeSwap is based on BSC and MetaMask is based on the Ethereum chain. Therefore you need to first add the BSC network to MetaMask and then access PancakeSwap.
Step 1: Binance Smart Chain Set Up
On MetaMask, click on the 3 dots and expand view. Click on the dropdown option at the top-right-end corner and click on “Custom RPC”.
Copy and Paste the information below:
Network Name: Smart Chain
New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
ChainID: 56
Symbol: BNB
Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com
Click on “Save” and you will be able to see the Smart Chain network in the network list.
Step 2: Smart Chain selection
Click on the dropdown option at the top-right-end corner and click on “Smart Chain” to switch to the Binance Smart Chain.
Step 3: MetaMask wallet connection on PancakeSwap website
Go to the PancakeSwap website, make sure you refreshed the page and click on “Connect” at the top-right-end corner.
Pay attention — Make sure you are using the right $TBC Smart Contract address by clicking on this link or double-checking the address below:

Select “MetaMask” and a pop-up will show. The BSC should be already selected. Click on “Next” and then “Connect”.
